The Playground

A few years ago, the kids in my neighborhood approached the local church, petitioning them to fix up their playground that had fallen into disrepair. At the organizational meeting, I volunteered to lead of the project. I designed new play structures that would be easy and cheap to build, and sourced the necessary materials. I organized church and neighborhood people to raise money, build new equipment, repaint the existing, and spread new mulch. The result was a new safe gathering place for neighborhood families.
