What do You know?
While earning my Graphic Design degree at Penn State, I worked as an educational software designer and the Graphics Editor of the university's newspaper "The Daily Collegian". I also taught myself HTML and began creating websites as the internet as we know it was just being born.

In the real world?
My first job out of college was at an advertising agency outside of Cleveland, Ohio. While I was there, I learned the agency life and the logistics of getting work produced. I also founded the agency's web department, breaking open a whole new medium for us. But I wanted to keep learning.

You bet. The Creative Director from the agency left to start his own studio. After a few years, his workload warranted a new hire. He asked me to join him. So I did. I worked with Jim Drake at WaveWalker Design for over 20 years, where I founded the interactive department and taught myself video editing.

How are you different?
The Second City came to Cleveland. This is an improvisational training center that regularly produces performers for Saturday Night Live. I enrolled. After I graduated from the Conservatory program, I was made an understudy for The Second City mainstage and performed in a downtown improv theater.

As I trained, I learned how to break through creative barriers. I learned how to explore concepts better and build more effective jokes and dialogue. I can read the room, listen to suggestions, and present ideas coherently. I can think on my feet. I can get out of my comfort zone, and I can get you out of yours.
